The soft slab was the creation of a mug that had to be above four inches after being fired. It was required to have some sort of design on the outside. For my mug, I created flowers and leaves on the outside. A skill that I have gained over the course of making the mug was making a handle takes practice and patience. I had to slowly move my hand up and down gently to make sure it's not smushed or fall off which was difficult to do so. The handle had to be firm to be able to properly attach onto the mug which took some time. The element that was mostly used in the mug was form. It is three-diminisioned that has value to it. It's width and height was overall pretty well. It wasn't too long, and not to short. Another element that was also used was color. I wanted my mug to be a bit more different so I made my flowers and leaves different colors than they should really be. The parts that didn't contain the flower or leaves were supposed to be full on white, however it did not turn out like that which was fine because it turned into an olive color which made it look even better. Making the mug was something new and exciting because now I'm fully capable of know what the requirements are and I'm able to look at it each time I drink out of it which makes me feel accomplished in some sort.
